Hmm, to start off, find a smaller banner. It expands my page on a small laptop screen

And remove the animated background. That will drive someone nuts eventually and will most likely leave your site, or not join it in the first place.

I'm not well-acquainted with gothic themes, but having a dark black skin would most likely fit.

Wow, the backround drives my eyes insane, and theres no flow in the colors no offence, and it took awhile for the banner to load...
